I have 1000 or so pictures on my harddrive that I have taken over the last few years, was looking through them today. Heres 10 of my best. Was kind of hard to narrow it down, but I picked them on interesting content and clarity/focus. I dont have any formal training in photography, I'm still a novice.

Large Australian bird, Louisville Zoo. Camera: Fuji Finepix s3000
(http://home.insightbb.com/~k4emq/Fish.JPG)
Cold, tired, and low on air, I snapped this photo swimming up to a series of coral heads. The fish were in the right spot at the right time. I believe the depth is about 50 feet on this photo. Camera: Cannon A95 with wdc-50 underwater housing

I took this photo on the start of a rafting trip with my friend John R. We rafted 7 miles in an inflatable Walmart's raft on the Otter Creek to the Ohio River. Camera: Fuji Finepix s3000
(http://home.insightbb.com/~k4emq/Pillars.JPG)
This is a shot overlooking the Caribbean Sea from the dock of the Fiesta Americana hotel in Mexico. I couldn't believe how blue the water was. Twenty feet from shore was an amazing field of coral and seagrass, teaming with fish and invertebrates.Camera: Cannon A95
(http://home.insightbb.com/~k4emq/Seagull.jpg)
Heres a seagull I had fed a few pellets to. The bird seemed to take a liking to me so I took a few pictures of him. This photo was taken in the botanical gardens of the North Carolina Aquarium. Camera: Fuji Finepix s3000
(http://home.insightbb.com/~k4emq/Shore.jpg)
The contrast of green and grey is what grabbed my attention on this photo. This is a rocky coastal area near Wilmington, North Carolina. Camera: Fuji Finepix s3000
(http://home.insightbb.com/~k4emq/Starfish.JPG)
Shore diving in Cozumel, I found this huge starfish wandering along the sea bottom. This creature was massive, being as big around as a dinner plate and very thick also.Camera: Cannon A95 with wdc-50 underwater housing
(http://home.insightbb.com/~k4emq/streamfog.jpg)
After hiking into a valley in the Red River Gorge, my friend and I came upon this stream. A spring shower came upon us, and this neat fog appeared after the rain subsided. Camera: Fuji Finepix s3000
(http://home.insightbb.com/~k4emq/Warthog.jpg)
Thunder over Louisville 2004. This is an A-10 doing a slow pass for the crowd. This plane makes a very distinctive sound, a very loud low groan. Camera: Fuji Finepix s3000
(http://home.insightbb.com/~k4emq/Wrasse.JPG)
This brave little fish held its ground even as I drifted right over him. The colorful wrasse was my first attempt at macro photography. Camera: Cannon A95 with wdc-50 underwater housing

Nice shots. I like the two woodsy ones/ Otter Creek and the stream.
While I didnt grow up in a rural area
There is something about the woods and settings like those says says "home" to me.
while not overly religeous I call naturelike settings "my church" as I've always felt closer to "God", "The Great Spirit" or whatever you care to call him then I ever did in any regular church.
Whenever Im feeling particularly spiritual or depressed or troubled, thats the kind of setting I head to and I'll just sit there and kinda meditate Sometimes for hours on end and become one with nature.
I always seem to leave with a nw perspective and feeling better then I did when I got there. Kinda hard to explain.
With things going on in my life as they are now I think I'll be headed there soon.
Nice pics though all the way around though.
Starfish pic is pretty cool too

Nice shots, especially like the patern and colours in the third one.
Be great to see more poeple post images of their home town or image that reflects where they live.. Maybe we could start a little O'Club photo competition?

superb photos :)
how can you narrow it down to just 10? i just did it myself, toughest thing i ever did.
i am uploading my "best 10" now, will take me some time resizing them, the shrinked size is really spoiling them tho :(
-
Are there trout in those streams??????
Nice photos!!
-
Ok, here are mine, i must say the resizing procces made them loose some of the "feeling".
sorry i couldnt do 10 i had to squeeze 1 more. :)
Allso i had to split it in too 2 posts, for some reason we are limited in the amount of pictures we can put in 1 post.
SO here are my top 11:
