Ok, you shot down that Mossi, great {nice pic's btw} this proves?
Are Hurri's not capable of killing Mossi's ?
I know I shoot down Mossi's AND Hurri's all the time, maybe I'm missing something:confused:

he's just showing the hit sprites and a cool pic.
is that a problem?

How did that plane not explode? Usually even 1 40mm on a wing gets a nice satisfying *POP*.

Anti-Tank AP rounds.
It severed both wings, but by sheer luck probably missed the fuel tank. Unless the AP connects to an explosive content, it will just cause non-explosive structural failure. If the hits shown above is all, I don't see a direct hit to the cockpit. No pilot death, so no explosion in this case too.
If it was a 30mm, the multiple hits near the cockpit would have damaged the pilot very badly due to HE, which probably would have killed him, thus, causing an explosion.
ps) it is tho, interesting the tail remains intact, despite the fact the screenshots show one hit to the rear fuselage section. Maybe the tail fell off too, but its not shown in the above series of pics?

you can see the "POP". See how the engines "POPPED" off the Mossie?
ack-ack

the reason i posted this..was becuase i was laffing ..and skanky said.."you didnt hit me,...I tore my wings off"...which made me laff soem more ; :)
another reason could be..becuase killing planes with a2a 40 mils is dam fun..and a bit tuf.....well excpet when amossi going 230+ turns hard in front of my hurri doing 160 ; )
but again..does AH film really tell you what hap?..or does internet llag and such make it not always truthful?
-
Aahhhh Got it :aok
Nice shot

Good work.
Mossie driver didn't know what he was doing though. Mossie 6 should easily eat a Hurri D for lunch.
Only plane I recall killing with a Hurri D was a Spitfire Mk IX that did a break turn 400 yards in front of me, fired two 40mm rounds and one hit the wing.

IMO its a record of what your FE saw which is why when you go to the other pilots position when reviewing a film you do not actually see what the other guy saw.
-
Yes, it shows what your end saw. It also shows what your end DIDN'T see. When you get lag, and the plane was WAAAY off, you will see it way off. And then you will still get hit (from nowhere).
I once got a film in AH1 of a plane in FRONT OF ME, shooting forward, blowing my wing off.

ahhh ok..so when u wacth films...they dotn always represent what you saw during the fight..
that makes sense wacthing some of these films
