Title: Wireless Internet Problem.

I'm currently at a condo that has free ISP.  It's a wireless broadcasting hub across the street from me.  On all networks but this one, my laptop does fine recieving and sending signals.


But on this one the connection will work great for about 2-4 minutes, but then it just stops.  My modem will send information, but the HUB won't send anything back.

Is this a problem with me or the broadcasting hub?

If it is my problem, how do I fix it?

Most likely theirs. Interference, another wireless network on the same channel, a bunch of wannabe knuckleheads who set it up, the list goes on. My guess is there not much help available to you either. Try walking around with your notebook and see if the problem is isolated to your current location.

You can try making a small parabolic antenna booster.

I made one this weekend in about 30 mins and it works WONDERFULLY.

I use mine to broadcast through walls and floors, but there is no reason you couldn't use it to receive.
