Ok here's the thing. When I go to a tower many times the views from inside don't allow you to have a clear look around so I use the arrow keys to move my field of vision outside for a better look and hit F10 to save each angle. This way I can use my hat switch to see above and all around. I usually have to do this for each different tower (port,airfield,VH).
The problem is when I go to each tower on the same map during the same session it defaults back to the "inside" views. Not always but most of the time so I end up having to reset the more desirable outside views.
Maybe it's not like the flight views which the software keeps in memory but it would sure be nice if it did.
Is this normal and something I just have to live with or has anyone else developed a workaround to keep the views intact?

Use F3 and rotate.

Ok note to self: views from tower are same as bombers...
Thank you straffo. This helps alot but to get the upward view there is still some some structure in the way, but I can live with it.

Just another one of those seemingly obvious things not in the tech manual that make you go DOH!

Yep there is allways something in the view.
Btw when using this view wait a bit ,let some time to your FE to show all the enemis :) otherwise you risk to die upping from a not so safe field :D

Just move outside the tower and use the mouse-look (I've set it at shift+m)

You can use the arrows and num-pad in combination to look all around.

views in the tower can be customized just like planes. Just hold down the view key you want to change, use the arrow keys to move where you want your view to be, and hit F10.
