It was a John Wayne movie and there is a scene where the Duke is sitting on his horse as he is looking out across this big expanse of land and as he turns back towards the camera a plane flys across behind him. :D

The Searchers.
John Wayne (Ethan):Well Reverend, looks like you've got yourself surrounded.
Reverend Clayton: Yeah and I figure on getting myself unsurrounded.
Reverend Clayton: I say we do it my way. That's an order!
Ethan: Yessir. But if you're wrong you wont ever give anyone another.
Mose Harper: [preparing for the Indian attack] That which we are about to receive, we thank thee, O Lord.
John Ford could make kick-ass westerns. ;)

Michael Mann, "The Last of the Mohicans"

I'm surprized that nobody else mentioned "A Fistfull of Dollars" until Buster dumped the IMDB laundry list on us.
The only thing that one was missing was Lee Van Cleef lol. I really thought it was the best of the Eastwood/Leone movies. I liked the premis of "A few Dollars more" a bit more, plus Lee Van Cleef was badass. But it ran a bit long, and started to lose some steam. I though that "The Good the Bad and the Ugly" became too cumbersome as the story went on. I really stopped caring after a while, which is a shame, as I really liked the first two movies.
Anyhow, my vote would go to "A fistfull of Dollars." I really should rent "Yojimo" sometime.

Winner!
-
What? No Rooster Cogburn? True Grit is a good movie, but RC was much more enjoyable. Loved watching and listening to the verbal sparring throughout.
Eldorado was a great movie too.
Sacketts was great.
How the West was Won.
-
Not really a movie, but Lonesome Dove was thoroughly enjoyable.
-
Lonesome Dove is an epic. Thank God they did not try to cram it into one movie.
United, look 4 posts before Swoops.
-
You're all wrong except rpm.
And it's still Blazing Saddles.

Great movie, great lines.
You forgot
Reverrend Clayton : "boy watch out with that knife" referring to the soldiers sword.
That soldier was John Waynes son IRL
Also the duke talking to that same solder "Turn around" (Soldier turns around with his back facing the duke and the duke says "Yep. That a Yankee cavalryman" or something like that
