the wife and I graduated 21 years ago.
yesterday I accidentally did some math out-loud that almost got my prettythang kicked.
my wife was reminiscing about a few of the concerts we went to in our HS days.
it occurred to me (unfortunately out-loud) that as we were sitting there looking back to these concerts, that we were looking back about 5 years farther than those 'ancients' who were looking back to Woodstock while we were in HS.
funny the things that will piss off a woman. just about anything that causes them to add up the years will do.
back on subject now- my oldest daughter graduates this week (2 down, 1 to go). any of my kids graduations are a way bigger deal to me than mine ever was.

WTG Vort and EagleEyes. My son also grad's this yr. Enjoy!:aok

The three hardest years I spent in school was the 5th grade....

shh, you're not supposed to tell them about the reality of it.
I tell my kids life is like baseball. if you put out maximum effort in the beginning and knock it out of the park, you can take a leisurely stroll around the bases. if, however you just give the batting enough effort to get on base, you'll end up having to run your butt off, steal, claw, slide and crawl through the dirt just for a chance at making it home safe.
as I get older though it seems more like a video game. as you do better and finish yet another level in grand style, they just keep giving you bigger and harder problems at an ever increasing speed until you finally die. the points you rack up don't really mean anything in the end, and they don't even give you a reset button.

Class of '05 here.

Class of 88 here too.
I hope you boys enjoyed HS. I'd give my left nut to be back there.
The fun really begins when mom and dad are tired of you mooching off them and kick you out ;)
-
I wouldn't go back for nothing. (HS or Mom and Dads, though they were almost the same day. HS graduation on Saturday moved out of M&D's on Monday)
I'll take a harder road where I can pick my own course over an easier one with someone else at the wheel any day.

Lifes gonna suck "Dennis Leary"
Lifes gonna suck when you grow up,
When you grow up, when you grow up
Lifes gonna suck when you grow up,
It sucks pretty bad right now.
Hey! If you know the words, Sing along!
Youre gonna hafta mow the lawn,
Do the dishes, make your bed.
Youre gonna hafta go to school until youre seven-teen.
Its gonna seem about three times as long as that
You might have to go to war, shoot a gun, kill a nun.
You might have to go to war, when you get out of school.
Hey cheer up kids, it gets a lot worse.
Youre gonna hafta deal with stress
Deal with stress, deal with stress.
Youre gonna be a giant mess
When you get back from the war.
Santa Clause does not exist, and theres no Easter Bunny,
Youll find out when you grow up, that Big Bird isnt funny.
(funny, funny, hahahahaha!)
Lifes gonna suck when you grow up,
When you grow up, when you grow up
Lifes gonna suck when you grow up,
It sucks pretty bad right now.
Youre gonna end up smoking crack, on your back, face the fact.
Youre gonna end up hooked on smack, and then youre gonna die.
And then youre gonna die-ie-ie-ie-ie.

Just a couple of hours ago I was out with my father in law. We bumped into a couple of his old high school classmates that he recognized. He graduated with them in…
1937,
I kid you not.

BTW,
For all of you who are feeling nostalgic about high school days, check out http://classreport.com/ . It is free, and ad free. You probably won’t find many of your classmates right away, but if you’re willing to put a little but of effort into it, it works. 65% of my high school class has been found. The site operates strictly on donations.

Well guys i leave in the next 2 hours or so for one of the biggest events of my life. Im excited about graduating but i am also very sad. I am very close to nearly every person in my class, all 160 of them. I know i will see some of them agian, and i know i will not see some. Some will die in the next couple of years, others will change dramatically. I hope to God that i can stay in contact with my really close friends. I was planning on attending ITT Tech here in MN and get a degree in Game Design, but now that i am moving to florida at the end of June, im not sure where im going. Hope it will be a good school!
Thanks for all the WTGs and Congrats <>

Have a blast, go a little crazy, but don’t get yourself killed. Don’t report back here until tomorrow late morning, and have some good stories. Don’t drive drunk, don’t ride with drunks, watch out for your drunk classmates on the road.
