Title: Movie Trivia: #5
Post by: AKDejaVu on March 14, 2001, 12:55:00 PM
In this movie, the two "heroes" for wich the movie is named refer to their female dates only as "the sluts".

If that's too vague.. they also drive a hydraulic suspension grey 4 wheel drive.

Someone said they wanted a challenge.

"Strange Brew" featured Bob and Doug McKenzie, though neither of them ever really had dates.  The closest they got was Doug ralphing on Pam's sweater and Bob giving a jelly doughnut to a receptionist.

Sorry, but I have to say wrong anser.

Additional hint (since I've got some people stumped):

The movie was based on two characters first featured in National Lampoon(1981).

Man, this one is hard....

My favorite line from Strange Brew...
..." I'd kiss you if I didn't have puke breath."

Hehe Dux, I like the line before that too... "Sorry I ralphed on your sweater Pam".

OK.. this one wasn't really fair.  When I first saw this movie back in the mid 80's, I'd rented it from the BX video store.  For some reason, the memory of the movie and its title stuck with me for some time (actually, from then on).  After some time, I began to think of it as one of the most obscure movies I could recall.  Then, while flipping through the never-ending listing of movies I'd rather not see on Showtime, I saw the title "O.C. and Stiggs".  I could barely believe my eyes.

I sat and watched the whole thing through again.  Its not really that good, though some of the dialog and scenes were slightly ahead of their time.

So.. no more thinking I'm impressing everyone because I've seen an obscure movie.  From now on.. its very short distinct facts or quotes from movies I truly enjoyed.
