I think some of you know about the "White 1" restoration that is going on it FL. They are restoring the only Fw 190F-8 in the world that will be powered by an original BWM 801 radial engine.
I have finnished puting the base coat on the fusaloge and the top and bottem of the wings. Here is a photo of what I have done already.

Looks awesome. Too bad you're going to have to change the tail.
-
yea the tail looks so plain w/o the swash

i love the scheme, but you know me TK the lines of rivets and panels are way too dark for my taste. they look cool, only 1/2 the darkenss of that pic though in my opinion
form what i have seen they show up alot more on the movable surfaces, where i see non in your pic.
<> also chk the squad forum / my new post, i have some questions
thanks
-
Yea i havent did the alerons yet and i have made the rivets a little lighter since i too that pic.

Just FYI I'm not sure what BBS policy is. I know you can't put swasti's on the skins, but it may be frowned upon to include them in the BBS screens as well. NOt sure, just be careful with that.
-
I'm not trying to start anything but why cant HTC have two sets of LW skins one with swasti's for the ppl who like to the planes as historical as possible and ones without for the ppl that live in germany. I know that its illgel to have it in germany but it makes no since at all why it cant be in a WWII sim. Its not like the ppl who fly LW in this game are raging nizis that wanna start WWIII. Im jsut fed up with this whole nizi swastis crap if HTC dosent what swastis on their BBS then they can delete the pics of my skins cuz every german skin that I preview on here will have a swasti to show how its sapost to look.
-
TK, it is illegal to display the swastika in Germany, even on a computer screen. Germans coming to this thread could get into trouble.
You want to fight the laws in Germany, go ahead, but you cannot use HTC as a vehicle for doing so. Our policy cannot change until the laws have changed in Germany.
You know it is the policy and the law. We cannot accept these skins, making it is a moot point to post anything about them. Please refrain from doing, it would be appreciated.
-
So then is it ok if i post stuff like this (http://www.ah-films.com/Profil.jpg) or do i have to blur out the swasti?
-
Let me hop in here as a german.
Besides the law (That might be a reasonthat Law still exists) in Germany most people are very sensitive about displaying "Nazi" symbols about anything.
Please tkae in mind that most germans are still "ashamed" for that part of german history esp. for scertain things that happened during that period in the name of germans.
Talking about reality I really don't see the difference in having that symbol on the plane or not. Especially seeing so many different and sometimes funny colorschemes on some planes called realistic. Saying this I do not want to put down the great work being done by the skinners. It's just hard to find out how colors looked like these days.
For example take one RLM-Color and you will find at least 3 references on the internet with total different color settings.
Another Example take Edberts Yellow 10. No offense at all, but especially in germany they were big discussions about the reference. Many local experts here are very disapointed about the paint claiming that it can't be right because it has colors in it that weren'T even used in the LW and that germans were never using so many colors on their planes.
What I try to ask you here is just a little tolerance here against the feelings of some foreigners.
Hope I wasn't stepping on somebodies feet here, still kinda hard to express some things in english for me.
kind regards
P.S: I think is your link is OK TK, but if I would post it would get me in trouble.

i thought it was against the law2 only to disply the swazzy for anything except historical subjects.. if it is true that the germans cannot except a fact of history then they are a little silly.. why did my grandfathers fight for their countries only for their opponents to try and ignore the truth.....just my opinion
i also except HTC stand on this.. though i dont agree
-
Selector,
Germans do accept and take the responsibility for what happened then.
That is why we are sensitive about displaying Nazi Symbols.

I think HTC should add an option. Set it by default "No SW" and whoever wants to enable it should be able to do it.
-
sorry, no offense to anyone..german or others....i just hate political white washing for P/C sake....

Guess you dont understand, its a matter of international law...not an "option". You can't have content accessable in Germany with a Nazi symbol...just that simple.
-
humble nobody asked for your opinion in this so please stay outa this thread.
-
It's not his opinion, it is a fact.
Pretty much exhausted the discussion on this one.
