Well my friend on my contact list suddenly started a convo with me. Saying stuff like "You retard!" over and over and over. Then giving me a link. It looked like a imageshack link, but kinda diffrent. So I clicked it and brought me to nothing. My friend never recalls doing this. Maybe he was drunk or something, but could this be a virus? If so whats the best Free Virus protecter I could get for removement.

1st you cant install an av program on an infected pc cleanly .. most of the time it will error out ... unless you can run it in safe mode .
Trend micro /symantec / house call/ and most of the others have online av scanners that kinda work . but not always .
if you have msn messenger i'll try to walk you thru it ... (you need alot of paitence for this) Roscoroo@hotmail.com (note: i dont have xp here at home so i cant admin control ur pc and do it ) i hate that anyway .

AVG free edition virus scanner.

But he's right that you may have problems installing it into a corrupt system.
I've had fairly good luck with housecall myself.
If your running XP your options are limited.
If your running 98SE you could always download a dos based scanner, burn it to a CD, boot with your 98startup disk. Do a dos scan. Then install AVG, and scan again.
Last, I've had Ad-aware SE picking up things that others have missed lately.
So you might want to try that first.
