Is there a chance that our current 190A-8 will get a BMW 801F or TS engine?

It would be a A9 not a A8 IMO.

A9 was only marginally faster than the A-8 anyways.

It was enough of a difference IMO. Almost 20mph increase with ETC 501 rack removed.
The BMW 801TH/TU engine exchange program began in May '44. We have substantial TH/TU parts in our collection from different crashes.
The BMW 801TS exchange program began in July '44. The Foundation owns 2 complete BMW 801TS motors and a large collection of parts from different crashes.
IIRC the Focke Wulf documents I have show the TH/TU re-engined FW-190A8's will be redesignated FW-190A9.
Those recieving the TS motor will remain FW-190A8's.
All the best,
