Doesn't look too vapor-ish to me...
gonegold.com has a release date of 4/3.
But I'd wager on that slipping a couple weeks since the Beta was originally slated for March 2 and hasn't happened.
After B17 II, I'll wait an awfully long time if they make sure they get it right. (hmmm... though with B17II we waited an awfully long time and got an awfully screwed up game... go figure... guess it wasn't long enough.)

Ah... the IL-2... how long will this remain vaporware? They've been talking about this sim for what, two years?
Just trying to be objective here: PCZone had a working alpha version to test - printed a review, very impressed they were as well, I can't see them lying just for the sake of it. Closed beta sign up was until early March - I had a computer in a "state" and no working stick so didn't even try to sign up, maybe others got luckier?

In the US this one will only be available for purchase online.
It has been coming forever and the closed beta was supposed to start Mar 2nd but has not yet.
After the B172 fiasco I am leery of all hype but this one at least bears watching if you are into Groundpounding or interested in the East front.
It boasts 32 online and 16 for coop online but it is a boxed sim and we know how those mostly do not work really well online.
We can hope, if it does work online with 32 or 16 I will save a few bucks.
