Awesome :)
BTW, Fox, I am not sure if I sent you some Hurry images. If not, let me know if you like some, I'll mail them, and would be delighted if you can use them or post them :)

An actual Battle of Britain Vet Mark I Hurri at that. Just flew for the first time after restoration a couple months ago.

Hmmmm - image is a little large, must remember to resize next time.
Thanks for the comments - Others on the way. :aok
Angus, if you want to forward those other shots you have, that will be fine.

Nice one Fox, is it from an airshow or something? Like the P-51 & P-40 you posted?

No Fox!
Post the big image, looks great on my desktop.
Let us wory about resizing.
-
The bigger the better, - the more, the merrier!
I'll mail you some shots of mine tomorrow, and please post them if you have the time! All free of course.
I have one of a Hurypilot taxiing, and another one of a Hurry in the final approach, then some stills and finally the marriage, - a Hurry and Spit together.

Hi Frank,
Yes they were all taken at the first show at Duxford this year. There are more images from that show that I will put up from time to time, but the next event for me is Shuttleworth on Sunday which should provide a few different subjects.
Never know whether to post a different thread for each aircraft - don't want to hog the BBS, but a few have said they like the photos, hence the three different posts.
Anyway, here's a Wildcat, or as it currently painted - a Martlet - Excuse the size, but someone said they preferred the larger images :aok

What, ze Hurricane against the Friedrich? :lol
Emil would be too much already..
-
Emils were still in service at the time of the Hurry II.
Unless I am wrong and they were already all dead at the time.
But there were Emils on the eastern front in 1941 late, or?
-
you do such great camera work Fox.... it is a shame there are almost no 190d's flying that you can snap a picture of. : (
i'd give anything for a 190 d9 picture like the one of the wildcat

Hey Scholzie:
"But really Angus. The Hurri could never match the 109E in performance."
HurryI vs 109E, not much of a question.
Hurry II vs 109E, well,,,,,
Climb, - close, 109 better?
Top speed - close, 109 better?
Dive - 109 by far
Acceleration, - 109 by far
Roll rate, - Hurry better?
Turn - Hurry quite much better
Firepower, - Hurry has quad Hizooka
Endurance, - similar?
Durability - Hurry
Ordnance - ?
Of course the 109 is basically quicker, but for an Emil to mix it seriously with Hurry II it is dicey...
But was I right? Were there not Emils on the eastern front in 1941?
-
Very awesome thnx

Wildcat is now my desktop. :aok

Just curioius, what kind of camera and lense are you using? really nice pics....
-
That shot was taken using a Canon 10D with a 24-70L lens. Most of my ground work tends to be with that combination. Shots in flight are usually taken with a 100-400L lens.
I tend to shoot in RAW mode but if the light is particularly good (and I am running out of space on my various cards) I will drop back to JPEG mode
Always tend to set the SS at 1/125 for in flight work and work around that for the best aperture/ISO combination.
