You may or may not be aware, but this upcoming weekend my local airport (kbdr-sikorsky memorial) is putting on a show called "corsairs over connecticut"....The Vought factory was in stratford, connecticut and the majority of F4U corsairs were built here.....We will be celebrating the 60th anniversery of WWII by bringing in 8+ fully authentic restored corsairs and around 25 F4U fighter pilots from the war including members of the "black sheep squadron" and the "jolly rogers". I would be more than happy to ask any questions that anyone has to these heroes and report back to the message board...
so if there is ANYTHING you have ever wanted to know about the corsair or WWII fighter pilots let me know and id be happy to gather as much info as I can and report back 2 the boards
