Mind you lads...

Mid-term elections are in less than two year. The House and Senate are basically equally divided.

You can bet your Bush-Cheney sign that the Floridians will be absolutely RAMMING that stylus through the CORRECT hole in the butterfly ballot then.

There will be a backlash in the next election if Bush prevails. (Probably the same thing if Gore prevails, except S. Florida will sign up even more Dem voters next time.)

The pendulum swings. No side prevails forever, just as those sly founders probably planned it.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

FWIW-

I am an in no way against a fair election. If those upset PBC citizens get out there and ram it home for the party, so be it. That is democracy. I wasn't happy with the administrative choice of the country for the last eight years, but it is the way the country voted, so I lived with it. My real beef with this election has been my perception of an attempt to skew the results to a result different from the actual result. The fundamental fairness and soundness of the process has been thrown into doubt.

I personally feel GWB did win both in the total votes cast in Florida and in the law of Florida. The disingenuous calls for a "complete and accurate count of every vote" have done little to bring credibility back to the process. Now, the Florida legislature is taking a bad move IMHO to ensure a GWB victory. I don't want to see that happening either. I want a fair shake, not special favors for either party.

That says more about this situation than anything I've seen posted on the subject yet.  Its time some cities/counties/states started taking their local elections seriously.  So many areas elect completely disregarding qualifications and experience.  This hurt Florida severely during this situation.

...Hell... in Portland we had a mayor who's only qualification was that he had been published...  Ever seen the "Expose yourself to Art" photo where a bum is flashing a statue of a nude woman?  That was our Mayor.

Clinton, big deal,he is history!!  America will survive.  Ross "the boss" got votes, and Jessie "the mind"( heheeeee this guy is a joke) was elected governor of Minnesota.  The country didn't collapse(or did I miss something?).

Now the Dems can run Mrs "C" in  2004!!!!

Can't wait till then it is really going to be funny heheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
