Title: Flying through the fireball....
Post by: Guppy35 on June 03, 2005, 02:19:27 PM
Had a bad guy go boom a bit close last night and actually flew through the fireball and explosion.  No damage.

Looked cool though.  No my 38G is not in half :)

now that debris actually falls from damaged planes, the damage model for the attacking plane should be coded to take damage from the pieces

oil on ur windscreen, prop damage, etc .. just  as it was in rl

cool picture though

It does.  He got lucky.  I shot down a Typhoon the other night in an A20, we were both going up and at the edge of a stall.  His right wing sheared off, and then he went BOOM.  His debris took off MY right wing.  A couple of times when I was trying out the P38G I flew into debris from an exploded plane, had the props on one engine or another get bent backwards and sometimes other damage.
