Bug wasn't the Dutch roundel more orange? Even though I was born in Texas, my last name is Vandeventer. I like to keep tabs on my wooden shoe, cow milking roots.:D

My father visited Deventer about 15 years ago , and really enjoyed himself. I hope to get there one day myself.:)

When the Japanese , and Dutch , aircraft fought in early WW-2, what were the dutch flying? P-36s, P-39s, Buffalo's?? I can't seem to remember what the Dutch flew in the far east.

Saburo Sakai said they were in Buffalos and he saw Hurries on the ground.

Look at the roundels on the side.  Both the Japanese and Dutch used reddish circles as their insignia.  If you saw the above in combat, would you think Dutch or Japanese?

I don't think we flew that kind of plane in Indonesia, my grandfather fought there, and he said we had Catalina's and P-51's.

Im not sure about the insignia though, don't think we had red roundels

Maybe postwar, but we're talking about during the war aren't we?
I indeed went to the museum some months ago, but Im sure they used more than they show.

They even had a B-25!

I believe those roundels are from between the 1st and 2nd war period. Not at the start of war they where probably gone already. (orange triangle)

Yes B25's and P40's there where even send some guys to the usa to train on p38's they prob never saw one and where trained on p40 instead.

We even used german flying boats.
