Title: Engine RPM
Post by: SixWhiskey on June 04, 2005, 03:47:50 AM
Small thing, but inasmuch as this is a very accurate simulator:

Either fix the RPM guage to actually show RPM or put in an actual variable pitch prop which maintains constant RPM.  Former could be "standard", latter could be "advanced."

Please elaborate.

I for one, am not getting what you're saying.

I think he's confusing throttle with engine speed. Throttle is manifold, numpad +/- is RPMs. Tach is accurate and functional.

If that's not what he's getting at I'm stumped as well.

Im confused as well,All AH planes have constant speed props. Don't know of any problems where the RPM is not reading correctly.

He might be talking about changes in RPM's from either idleling or racing the engine. Thats the only thing I can think of though.

My take on it is he's confusing prop rpm with engine rpm....
