I'm on holiday visiting my parents in Spain; and yesterday they took me and wifey out to one of thier favourite pastimes; a car boot sale run by other expats (The English in Spain have the same unwillingness to intergrate as Mexicans in Texas).
I was rooting around the second hand book stores; and found this little gem, for the princely sum of 1 euro:
"Tiger Squadron"; the story of 74 squadron through both word wars written by Wing Commander Ira (Taffy) Jones; D.S.O., M.C., D.F.C., M.M..
There's no ISBN number; it's a very dog eared papaer back published in 1956.
It's a rippping good read; and includes his WWI diary (30 kills); which is fascinating as I've never read much Allied WWI stuff.
But here's the gem (and I've no way of authenticating it; and probably wouldn't if I could).
On the inside front cover; written in pencil in a copper plate hand:
"To Michael;
From Douglas Bader"
This one's a keeper! :)

Wow! Talk about a good find. I have a copy of that book in paperback but no inscription :)
Taffy Jone's diary entries in the first half are well worth it.
