Title: Kirby's 475FG p-38G in progress shot
Post by: Citabria on June 05, 2005, 05:50:33 PM
(http://www.thehabboway.com/p38gwing.jpg)
booms and nacels templates and rivets finished but not weathered like the wings yet.

kirbys scheme is done but the layer disabled on this shot.

I am using a different technique used here for shading the wing what do you guys think of it?

wing shading look right or too heavy?

I love it, actually! Right on! You'll be the only one looking at it (doubt you'll notice weathering if you're fighting the 38, you'll be concentrating on killing it). And if I were looking out my port side I'd like the way that OD was fading!

Question: Did you use the rivets to get that effect, or did you mark out each area by yourself and add color to it?

Man that is great - I swear I can almost see deformation in the sheet metal around the rivets...

Damn fine work. Rivet deformation, and much more subtile/smooth than what I had attempted. Fantastic.
