I don't know why but it has always killed my eyes to the point I need to log after 30 min or my eyes start to water.
When IRL I never had any trouble ...
-
because that's how night is removed. Otherwise you'd have 2 suns. One setting and one rising. I'm not sure if you can freeze time in the arena settings. Propblem with that wqould be you'd remove the SUN as a strategic advantage.
I just wish the wun would set some other time than 10:00pm EDT! How about 10:00pm PDT?
-
Fear the endless glare! Really, it was better with a short sunset and sunrise and 20 mins of kinda darkness... much better on the total eye strain factor. Not to mention no more night time commando raids.
-
It was purposely done.....I can't see when the Sun 12 o'clock let alone when it's on the horizon. Called the Ole Screw Hajo Trick!
-
How many times has the glaring sun messed me up or made me blind? I say now what I say often in real life...
I wish someone would turn it off. How about overcast?
-
Night please or get rid of all the nightime skins. Night Night Night!
-
Doesn't work that way Clifra. With time settings that remove dusk/dawn too, the sun immediately moves to the east once it enters 'dusk'.
I suppose the dusk/dawn is about the absolute limit where most people will tolerate lowlight conditions and not log out.
-
It's not the low light that bother me.
It's the faulty (IMO) implementation, during dusk or dawn he screen ressemble nothing I've ever seen.
And I don't have Nyctalopia (I'm sure the test is less than 3 month old :D)
-
I don't mind the dusk & dawn, but the 12 oclock sun blaring in your eyes gets old.
How bout some overcast, cloudy type weather here and there?
Seems the sun is always shining bright 95% of the time, just gets old after while.
Ever notice how 99% of the map is green? How does it get and stay so green with no rain or dampness? Not even a little drizzle:confused:
just my 2cents

i personally would love to see night, and maybe have spotlights added, kinda like auto flak, just to make fights more real and slightly easier
-
I would love to see night return to the MA. Back when I flew C-47s in the main that was the only time I felt some what safe. :)
-
How about maps that have more than one season. A fall or winter map would be a nice change occasionally.
-
Yes Seasons would be nice. Some of you who flew AW remember the Krait squadron that made "overlays" of the maps so you could fly a desert terrain....Winter over the Hedgerow effect and so on. It absolutely boosted gameplay. Skies were also changable. Wasn't as mundane as flying over the same terrain everyday....one could switch to suit taste.
-
Those are all good ideas too, I like the night time and search lights, wouldn't that be a hoot.

Weather would be cool, too. Heck, even some wind...make us chose the best runway for a crosswind landing.
Dusk/Dawn seems to go on forever. I also dont understand how if you have the sun in your face, the clipboard map is glared out.
I dont miss night but at this point, something different would be good.
-
The searchlights would kick, but think of the frame rates we'd get.

What does one have to do with the other?
-
Well I personally get crap frame rates when the sun is shining nearby; to me, lights that are moving around in the air would do the same thing.

Night was removed so why there is still dusk and dawn ?
Just to piss you off :)
culero (glad I could help!)

No, that time was a few months ago... It's past due; I just need a couple bucks.
-
Hopefully you can upgrade soon, best of luck.

It work so :)

I didn't mind the night, I don't mind the dawn/dusk, I wouldn't care if night/dawn/dusk were taken away or put back, I love the new clouds and wish there were more of them, I don't mind the glare from the sun (but wish the clipboard blocked it) either.
What I AM getting tired of is the sun being low on the horizon 99% of the time I fly, change it up a little bit the next time the maps rotate please. I fly weekday evenings between 7 and 11 central time, the sun seems to be ALWAYS low during those hours. I would guess that those who fly in the daytime (locally speaking) would appreciate some variety too.
Just a thought.
