Being someone who deals with explosives almost everyday, I think we should get it so that when a bomb drops by a tank it does what it should.... Destroy it!
Now I know we have had this discussion many times before, but think about the effect of watching your buddy rolling along in a Tiger to the trees while you sit and watch for your hiding place in the trees already..... Then all of a sudden BOOM! :eek: He flips over from the explosion of a 1000 lb egg dropping on him!! :lol
The effects of a bomb do so much more damage in a 'real world' situation and I know this is just a sim... But, just think of the humor in it..... I know I would! I have dropped sometimes up to 4000 lbs of eggs and 20 rockets on on a Tiger, or even a Panzer and they keep on going like the Energizer Bunny! Come on!! I know there is something in a sense wrong with the whole GV/Dying thing, but at times it is crazy! You put a 500 egg withing 15-20 and it will disable something, either a track, engine or turrent (depending on the side hit).... I just wish something was done on this at some point....
Anyone know if anythig is coming or not on this? Just my thoughts is all.

Yeah it does. Often wondered why that if splash damage can damage the buildings why doesnt it effect the GV's more.
A track or engine at least.

Better unperk the GVs then, as there is an unlimited supply of
1000 lbers back at base to go with your unlimited number of
aircraft to fly them.

They way it is now is these Tigers are indestructable, the Panzers just roll along like nothing hit them, flaks you just get pretty hit-sprites, and the M3/M16's just sneek in and take all the field ack shots but still not recieve any damage.....
Like it is said: It makes sense....
Maybe we will get some effect in the future that flips that 50 ton tiger over....or better yet, let's just start with being able to take out the tracks with a 1k egg.... :D

I can kill a Tiger rather easily with a single 1K bomb. Panzers and Flaks go down with single hits from 500s, or even 250s if you land it on top of them.

I have heard that a 1k bomb landing next to a GV might not kill it, but the shockwave will kill the crew members inside.

And GVs should be like the bombers. You get to drive and shoot 3 at a time.
It would certainly be helpful for base defence. And if one blows up you simply switch to another. :aok

I have dropped somtimes 6k of eggs, 30 rockets and about 450 rds of 20mm from a P38 onto a Tiger that has just been sitting on a hill in the wide open......he will be sitting in the crater!! Trust me...I know how to JABO.... it is a big time glitch with what a GV can withstand.
500lb egg: 192 lbs N.E.W.
1000lb egg: 472 lbs of N.E.W.
Trust me..... even if you dropped 1k egg by a Tiger, and you were short by 10 feet.....from that blast, it would flip.....

The shockwave would turn the tank crews insides into tomato soup.... :rofl
Go to military.com, make an account (it's free) and check out the Shock & Awe video section. There is one called "1 large crater, coming up"
2k egg dropped....... this is a good example of what it would do, even if you dropped 2x 1k eggs within feet of each other....
