You scored as Cultural Creative. Cultural Creatives are probably the newest group to enter this realm. You are a modern thinker who tends to shy away from organized religion but still feels as if there is something greater than ourselves. You are very spiritual, even if you are not religious. Life has a meaning outside of the rational.
-
You scored as Romanticist. Romanticism encourages society to look backwards to find our solutions. Your rationale is that things were much better a few hundred years ago so we should thus look back to those times and replace them in our modern society. You believe in a simple life and that the complexities of the modern world have turned it upside down.
I am not sure how it derived that from my answers, pretty crappy test.
-
"You scored as Postmodernist.
Postmodernism is the belief in complete open interpretation. You see the universe as a collection of information with varying ways of putting it together. There is no absolute truth for you; even the most hardened facts are open to interpretation. Meaning relies on context and even the language you use to describe things should be subject to analysis."
Oh big suprise there.

You scored as Idealist.
Idealism centers around the belief that we are moving towards something greater. An odd mix of evolutionist and spiritualist, you see the divine within ourselves, waiting to emerge over time. Many religious traditions express how the divine spirit lost its identity, thus creating our world of turmoil, but in time it will find itself and all things will again become one.

You scored as Materialist.
Materialism stresses the essence of fundamental particles. Everything that exists is purely physical matter and there is no special force that holds life together. You believe that anything can be explained by breaking it up into its pieces. i.e. the big picture can be understood by its smaller elements.

You scored as Existentialist.
Existentialism emphasizes human capability. There is no greater power interfering with life and thus it is up to us to make things happen. Sometimes considered a negative and depressing world view, your optimism towards human accomplishment is immense. Mankind is condemned to be free and must accept the responsibility.

Most of the question were loaded and to narrow.
-
I thought that some of the questions were worded poorly. For example the statement, "Mankind is condemned to be free. (there is no outside control)", is meant to determine your feeling about the existance of a governing god magic. However I don't believe that mankind is controlled by the god magic. But I disagreed with this statement because man is definitely not free from the controlling forces of the natural world.
And "self-alienation of the divine" ? Don't they mean self-alienation from the divine?
The test is useless because the questions are wrong because the author seems to have difficutly with logic.

damn... nash and I both scored the same.... must be the boot camp we both attended.

You scored as Shootist.
Shootism centers around the belief that the best use of your time on earth is following Labradors and seeking out pheasant in their native habitat. An odd mix of hunter and spiritualist, you see the divine within the oven, as the pheasant bakes over time. Many religious hunting traditions express how the divine spirit is lost in the city and its suburbs, thus creating our world of turmoil, but in time it will all work out as city dwellers descend into barbarity and eat each other instead of hunting. Then the eternal pursuit of game by fine dogs will again become constant.

Well I'm off to burn witches with the fundamentalist Buddhists next door (we use copies of Camus, Voltaire, and Hawking for kindling).

Owing to the religious nature of the questions, I did not have answers to many of them. With so many gaps by the halfway point, test abandoned. Don't know what that makes me. I'll leave it to someone else! ;)

I'm bemused as to why it listed Postmodernist first, tied with Existentialist, yet labeled me as Existentialist.
I also note that Cultural Creative and Materialist are also tied and fall fairly close to the top pair.

You scored as agnosticism.
You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof). Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.
