Does this mean a fully loaded p47 drops its ord..it will have more drag than a no ord p47?

Yup.
But IIRC, the new agenda on ord/dragpoints are only at work with the new 3D models like the P-38s and the Fw190s. For instance, when you fire all the HVARs on the P-38L, you'll notice the "Christmastree" racks are still left intact.

unless you have hardpoints. they're huge penalty for speed.
one example is the P-38L with x-mas tree rockets :)

Consider, however, that the underwing bomb racks probably were never taken off, and so they wouldn't increase drag, just rocket rails maybe, and I don't think the centerline had a rack, just a wire frame (minimal drag there).
I don't think p47s have to worry as much as the 190 did.

At the moment the D25 and D40 are modelled slower thank the D11 because of the wing hardpoints.
If they change the modelling that would mean they get faster when no ord applied in hangar, not slower.

Except, even when the planes didn't have ord they usually KEPT the hardpoints, in real life if I recall.
Thus the modelling would be accurate.

I think Krusty's right on this one. Look at the P-38s - they keep their hardpoints on despite lack of ordnance.
I'm guessing that unless a rail/hardpoint/rack is considered a separate, external piece of equipment that was regularly removed - ie. ETC racks - the hardpoints would not be removed.

I think you'd only notice the drag at top speed though. I was
talking to Dan Damio who flies a P-47D that recently added
hardpoints to the wing. their heads on according to Dan;) >.
I asked him if he noticed the extra drag, and he said not at
all. Of course this is A) annecdotal and B) an aircraft that is using
a lower grade of fuel than it would have in WW2.
