Some more info needed on these great looking birds please :)
Did any of them every see combat? Did they enter service at all before the wars end?
I know both were fast as hell and the F8F had the normal big a** radial engine tucked into that nice little fuselage.
The F7F is sexier though ;)
Some more info, any and all welcome!

Corky Meyer's story of the F7F can be found here. (http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3897/is_200208/ai_n9120620)
Corky was a Grumman test pilot and the former CEO of Gulfstream Aircraft.

I'd not read the 2002 article on the F7F "untold story" before. Thanks Widewing!
