Good musician and song writer, and a good family man as well.
He was just 58.

He fought the beast for 10 years. I salute him for that. He also maintained an upbeat attitude through it all. I respect him for that.

I was stunned when I heard it on the radio...
Still remember my first Beatles records, Soviet "flexible" disks with few songs from Abbey Road... It was maybe in 1986... "Here comes the sun" and "Something" were my favourites.
Half of Russia is in black tonight...
The era is coming to an end. :(

As a musician I lost one of my hero's. The world lost a good man who was devoted his family and his God. At least his suffering is done.
S! George and thanks for all the great music!

Maybe it's the water in Liverpool, but isn't it amazing how all 4 of the Beatles turned out to be nice guys with good hearts. Success doesn't often have that affect on people.
They were the trumpeteers announcing the coming of our generation.....he - they will be missed.

Sad indeed.
He was a free-thinking, liberal minded bloke. Very in touch with multi-cultural, multi-religious spirituality. His music was superb.

Listening to "While my guitar gently weeps" these days...
