I got a hankering for some pork ribs. So I reached under the seat and got my custom p38 torpedo smoker out.
I loaded it up with Royal Oak lump, siphoned a little avgas and started a fire.
It was a bit smokey in the cockpit but I fly like Im blind anyway. After the smoke died off a little I added some apple wood and put the maximum 2 rolled racks of ribs on the grill. Yes of course I had rubbed the ribs with a little mustard then some dry rub.
Shut the smoker up and using my custom built exhaust pipe to rid the cockpit of smoke went back to killing in the skies of AH.
Occasionally I would open the smoker and spritz the ribs with a cranberry juice and oil mixture.
After hotpadding 6 or 8 times ( 3 to 6 hours ) the ribs were done.
So I set her down in a lush field just outside of a8. Luckily for me there was Fifi the ewe and her herd to share my bounty with .
A wonderful time was had by all.
:lol
Now this is how we get BBQ in the Aces High area:)

i have a small toaster oven..
one of the best devices ever
I just baked 2 greenchile beaf and bean burritos..
one of the seams burst from the beef fat boiling up...
spilled burrito guts onto the red hot heat elemnts.....It started to smoke...so I opened the canopy.....Then there was enuff oxygen to start the beef and been green chile fire...BOOM orange flame..
Luckiy I had them on tinfoil..which i peeld from my hat...
I pulled the burritos out quickly...closed the canopy back up..flames go out
And DONT FORGET..always line your oven so what ever drips off is easlily cleaned..
But now my plane smells liek burnt burrito....better then burnt spaghetti

"There" was Fifi. Technically, it was Stuart, but that's another thread for another day.
Don't use the George Foreman Grill with the removable grill plates while inverted. They will short circuit or catch fire. That's no joke. Buy the slightly more expensive sealed unit if you're planning on grilling in a warbird.
