Title: NIKE missile system

Has any of you old timers "used" it?

I was browsing the web just now and found out that we had several NIKE batteries here in norway during the cold war without me knowing about it.

Were they any good? Ever fired at anyone in anger somewere? They were all decomissioned in 1990 here i belive, and their rocket engines are now used to launch scientific payloads onto space (or near space) from Andøya.

I always like Converse better, but Nike wasnt too bad.
