Title: Lost zoom capability

I lost zoom capability yesterday and can`t get it back.
  I had it mapped to Z key. I have tryed remapping it to other keys and also to stick buttons. It`s a no go.
Any ideas/suggestions?

I thought I had similar problem once, frustrating as hell, but then I realized I had inadvertantly used the zoom in/zoom out key to "unzoom" to almost normal range , so when I zoomed there was no difference. Probably not your situation, but sometimes we overlook the obvious in search of a more complicated problem.

  Yea, I have done that also, but is not the case this time.
I also posted in the help and got the same idea as here. veryone must have done that at one time or another.
  I`m gonna keep stabbing at it to see what I come up with.
