Title: Saitex X-45
Post by: Elyeh on June 15, 2005, 11:43:47 AM
I've had my Saitex X-45 awhile now and the main spring in it is starting to "squeak" some. Is there some kind of spray or something you can use on it to quite it up again.

sure its the spring and not the plastic cup at its bottom?

I have used powdered graphic, alittle messy, or a square of wax paper under the cup to make it smoother when it gets sticky

Its the main piece that goes inside the base itself.

I have zip tied my spring closed.. this makes movement alot smoother and acurate.. Although it is hard to play "sloppy Sticked" .... I have also closed only one side of the spring so that it has less push on the plastic cup on the bottom. .....If you do the sloppy stick then make sure that it is centered on start up or when you plug it in.

Use silicon spray. But don't just spray it on or it'll sink in. Use something to rub it around on the rubber, bottom of the disk, and edges of the bowl the disk sits on. Also put a little on where the spring is attached.
