Post by: BlueJ1 on June 15, 2005, 05:09:18 PM
What kind of milk do yall drink (goat, camel, sheep, moo's) ? Ive been drinking whole milk my entire (short) life and recently switched over to 2%. I find it alittle less thick but with less flavor.

Drink it black, preferably prepared with a coffee press.

2% is better foe adults..less fat

I can taste the difference between brands..it has to do with diet for the cows...local grasses/weeds and such and soil content.

I love milk but can no longer drink it. It does very bad things to my mobility. Went from regular to unleaded and that helped for a while, then switched to goat. The goat is now banned from my household. I had a bowl of cereal the other day and 15 minues later I was launched like a brown fueled rocket, with 3 stage seperation.

What's milk?     J/K

2% sucks.  Whole milk here when I need to clear out my system.

Moloko for a bit of the Ultra Violent?

Never heard of sheep/camel milk before. That and goat milk taste about the same as regular milk or is it have a different flafor?

nothing less then whole milk.

2% IMO tastes downright nasty and reminds me of the powdered milk my mother occasionally tried to poisen me with as a kid when we ran out of the regular stuff.

In coffee (never decaf) I used regular Coffee Mate or Cream or half & half in that order

Used to be really into the flavored stuff but never liked French Vanilla.

Now if I want to occasionally add some flavor I just add some Kalua or Irish Cream usually at night when Im here or playing the game

The Mrs has me drinking 1%.

Kinda watery, but I am watching my girlish figure. The less fatty milk I drink, the more beer I get, so it's a fair trade off:D

cheers,
RTR

pure snobbery. I have to have mine with 1 packet, and only 1, any brand artificial sweetner.

Oh yeah, I drink whole milk, fwiw.

Not at all... I drink a lot of coffee and I used to goop it up pretty good until last year or so. Even with the lowfat or nonfat creamers, my daily caloric intake from coffee was too damn high. I never drank coffee for the taste anyway... I'm in it for the caffeine. So... I cut the additives out and still drink a lot of coffee.

It wasn't until then that I discovered that the coffee from a press tastes WAY better than coffee from a machine.

1% milk is what we drink. 4 gallons of it a week between myself and the boys.  I rarely drink it before a gym work out, it tends to make me tired.  I believe milk has that stuff in it that turkey does, making you naturally tired.  I've discovered that if I stay away from caffeine (except for weak cup of tea in the morning before my commute) and drink less milk, I tend to have more energy, and "wake up" more efficiently.  I've not had more than a cup of coffee per month for over 5 years now. I don't miss it and I feel a helluva lot better without it.  I still love the smell of it though.

Most definitely. I drink only whole milk from Braum's. They remove excess water and it tastes great. It also stays fresh longer. Anything else tastes like colored water.

When I was a kid, we lived on my grandfather's dairy. We used to drink the milk chilled and completely unpastuerized. It was great. Nothing like it at the grocery store.

Depends on where you live. In many states, it's illegal to sell raw milk.

But in some states it's legal with certain quilifications, such as a label that says you might die.

Ok, I'm going to say it.

I drink skim milk.

You know why?  Because I always have, that's why.

I don't drink it anymore.

When I did I really couldn't drink whole milk. I don't see many people drinking whole milk, it's usually used for baking and with coffee.

I used to drink 1%. 2% is a bit too thick for my taste and 0% is quite nasty aswell. Sometimes when I couldn't get 1% I mixed 2% and 0%...

Whole milk. In coffee. And on my cherrios.

Yes, cheerios.

with lotsa decadent real sugar.

And I smoke a butt while slurping my coffee and swilling the cheerios.

and I don't share with the cats. Gives 'em the runs.

Note: I learned (quite by accident) that If yah squeeze a milk fed cat it squirts.. a little practice and you can write yer name with it on yer ex's walls.

I used to drink milk, loved it.

Recently...  it's starting to seem like there's something just not... right about it.  It's a strange psychological thing, but the idea of drinking milk is starting to weird me out a little.  Kinda the same feeling I get when I think about eating octopus eyeballs or haggis or some of those other foods that are perfectly normal in different cultures, but don't quite 'click' for me.

Skim. Was real thirsty one time and skim was all that was available, went down like water, but with some taste. Starting drinking it and now whole milk tastes like cream. When shopping it's one gallon whole, one 2% and 2 skim.
