Title: 2 PETA employees charged with animal cruelty

I love this. Sad for the dogs though.

Two individuals from Hampton Roads, employees of the Norfolk-based People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, were arrested Wednesday night in Ahoskie, N.C., on animal cruelty charges.

The two were arrested after authorities allege they dumped dead dogs and cats in a dumpster at a shopping center on Memorial Drive in Ahoskie.

No word from the people involved as why/what/how yet either.

I thaught I heard something on Pen & Teller about that.

If anyone is going to do that dirty, suck-egg job, it should be folks that care. Or at least say they care.

I've had to put down 3 Labs myself. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

If thats the case then it would look to me like they were possibly trying to set someone up.

It was an episode of "BULLS**T" where they made the claim that there was a large freezer for storing euthenized animals PETA "rescued"....they (Penn & Teller) didn't claim it was constantly full though.

Actually, I think we don't. I think we a jumping to conclusions here. Rather than risk leaping over contrary facts, how about we wait two weeks (TM) and see what the investigation shows?

That would be awesome! It will be just the wife and I. My sister will be celebrating her 50th birthday. Tenatively scheduled for the week-end of the 27th, 28th. We'll probably fly in Thursday, so Friday night would be the best time for us to get together, as her birthday party will most likely be Sat. night. I'll make it a point to go to Pike Place market and get some fresh crab legs to go with the smoked stuff. :)

We all need to realize that threads are our form of group conversation. There are going to be "asides" as it goes along and more of them as the original point approaches being "thrashed out".

I'm not oppposed to a few asides as long as they are not an attempt to derail the theme of the thread.
