What a complete joke! :( FIA should really have made a compromise regarding the Michelin situation. All credit to the Michelin teams though for starting the parade lap and therefore allowing the 6 car race to commence (officially less than 10 cars voids the race).
I feel sorry for all the spectators and fans....
-
The race was a complete farce.
If they were going to put aside 14 cars, they could've as well abandoned the race.
This race messed up the whole season IMO.
-
Err... Missed the race.. what happened?
EDIT
Read the story... what a joke. I think they should just finish off the F1 totally. F1-racing league has become a big joke in the past few years. :o I aint gonna even bother to see any f1-race in this season no more.
-
And thats why its four wheels last two wheels fast especialy when it comes to motorsport.
F1 has become the sport of jumped up prima donnas and corporations. Its just not racing anymore its big buisiness and the fans come last.

Yep. B**** and moan all you like about the "redneck racers". It's the best racing that's drawing the most fans. Anyone notice how the guys trying to cross over from open wheel seem to be doing the most testing of the safer barrier? Take away their traction control and they have NO control.
-
I think that's the end of it at this site, and probably in the USA. I hope it results in the replacement of Bernie-Max-FIA-F1 with some type of constructor-run F1 GP series. Personally, I'll settle for a ticket refund. We still had a good time here, thanks to the people of Indy and the Speedway, who do a great job.
-
I agree Funked, I honestly don't think they'll be back in the USA for a long time. I really feel that Mosely, Ecclestone and the FIA have a lot to answer for. It so could easily have been avoided.
-
Funked, while they played no part in today's farce, don't get me started on Tony George & Co.
-
I won't forgive Tony for the CART/IRL split, but he's done a fabulous job with the events at his track.
-
(I'm Indy in case I didn't mention it)
-
But moot aren't those bikes big ole plastic covered winnebagos?
 :lol
Yes that is what I was speaking of though that kind of riding is bordering on insane and way beyond my self preservation level and I can't afford to trash my machine as I bought and paid for it unlike those journalists on road test bikes Cool video though and cool job huh?
Ok on with the death of F1;)

An F1 driver could win a "Nextel Cup", a "Nextel Cup" driver could NOT win a F1 Championship.

I disagree. Do you recall Jeff Gordon's test of a Williams-BMW a couple of years ago. He was remarkably fast.. However, when Montoya drove Gordon's car, he was remarkably slow. Gordon was a Sprint Car champ and has a well rounded background. Recall also that he won that Challenge race two years ago, beating the F1 and rally car guys at their own game.
Remember Mario Andretti? He won in Stock Cars, Indy Cars, Sprint Cars, Sports Cars and Formula 1, winning the Championship in a Lotus 79.
My regards,
