Title: Flying like a real bird
Post by: iKo on June 19, 2005, 04:58:34 PM
Took my daughter Hang Gliding for her graduation from High school and it was a blast.
We both tried it from 5k and it’s was the greatest feeling of flying I have ever done. If anyone else hang glides send me some info. I am going to take lessons from a Jim Rooney in MD who is in the USHGA

Fine...

I go to Penn State and am majoring in the hardest damn major there is here: Architectural Engineering.

When I'm not taking long walks on the beach, I spend my time being the captain of the Sailing Team.

Plus you're in jersey.  Where's she going?

I attend Princeton University and am achieving my Doctorate's in Biochemical Engineering.

I have an SAT score of 1600. And an IQ of 200.

My parents are of purebred english decent and traveled to America in the late 1700's to help the colonies win independence from British rule. My relatives are: John Locke, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, and Socrates.

I have no health diseases and everyone who as died in my family did so over the age of 100.

My portfolio is held by Goldman Sachs and has a value of well over $35 million.

I own a $14.5 million water-front property in San Diego, 16 ferrari's, 3 Yacht's, 2 highly-paid masseuse's, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Oh and one more thing, I'm married.

:rofl

IKO. Tell him before he meets your daughter he has to first figure outa way to design a flat roof that doesnt leak.

That should keep her safe for the immediate and forseeable distant future LOL

Dred, Flat Roofs that don't leak are not that hard to make.

The Problem is that during the construction of it, you need to be uber careful.

Ok as long as you can keep at least ½ of what you have after your divorce you may have a chance.

Yes the dog was hit by a car and is paralyzed in his back legs but he dos not know it. He still chases cars and runs around like normal.
I live in South Jersey in Blackwood and went to school in Linwood at Mainland High and lived in Lindenwold and went to Overbrook High.

Yes they do have parachutes if needed but very rare cases are they needed. The glider will pull +6G’s and -3G’s and Vne is about 45 to 60 mph. stronger than most small planes that are +3 and -1.5
The aerobatics guys use two chutes because they push the limits of the glider. Mostly used when they practice loops and get stuck going over the top and stall they can fall down threw the glider.

The problem with Flat Rooves are that you are supposed to heavily service them every 2-3 years.

The real "Leak Proof" item is pretty much a heavy duty "Celophane" wrapper on the roof.  Any punctures will give you leaks.  Whether it's an accidental nail, or a suicide bird beak.
