I'm looking for a command line software that will enable me to convert WAV/MID/OGG files to Mp3... But I need that software to be installable on a NIX system, and be able to make an exec() call on it... (command line)
Before you ask, yes...the use of this will be legal.
With all ya nerds here, I figured I'd save some time :)
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the tip gardy, I found http://snackamp.sourceforge.net/ through there so far... I'm affraid it's a little too heavy for what I need, but if needs be... :)
A mathematician who is calling ME a nerd... now I've seen it all ;)

Lame (http://lame.sourceforge.com) is what I've used for wav to mp3 in the past. Works very well, IMO. For midi and Ogg, you'll need another program(s) to convert them to WAV, then pipe them into lame.
