You ever dive into a furball, and have that "mad minute" when you must instantly assess the angles, closure speeds, distances, and TYPES of aircraft all around you? (in a split second?)..
And then as your clicking through the view keys so fast that most non-AH flyers would just see a blur on the CRT, whil'st you are multi-processing at the speed of light?
And you often end up flying hard manuevers while looking out the rear view? (and you've flown AH so long over the years, you can actually land a plane looking out the rear view?)
Yesterday, I'm driving through a major city intersection, with family in car.. Light turns Yellow, then RED, I stop.. instinctively glance at side-mirrors and rear view,,
Hear comes an old dude in a silver Benz barreling down while adjusting his radio dial.. (CH:200? Ha!)
I instinctively keep watching the rear-view,, and know the layout ahead.. no need to look forward (just like in AH!)
I'm in middle lane of 3, with car ahead of me.. I know that the old guy is going to look up and make his move (lock up brakes, & jink right or left).. I'll have less than a full second to tromp the gas pedal and crank the wheel.. in what ever direction he AINT going in.
In a literal blink of the eye, I see a car in rear right, slow speed, car in left, approaching hi speed,, and SCREEEEEECH!! The guy jinks left! I go to WEP and accelerate right,, instantly jink back left, and in FRONT of the stopped car in front of me..
The guy on the left (that I cut off) was timed perfectly NOT to hit, and the Benz, wheels smoking,, (an engine hit?), slides out into the intersection,, old fellow with his head in hands.
I did all this, while looking out the rear-view mirror! Sheer instinct from countless wasted hours in being shot at in the hate filled skies of AH LOL
THANK YOU HTC & ESPECIALLY ALL YOU WHO'VE HAMMERED ME IN THE 6 SO MANY TIMES BEFORE.. The training was priceless!

Good stuff.
Its funny. But when Mars and I were going through stalls and getting out of them, or putting a plane into a stall... It is almost exactly like it is in the game.
I will also shoot down other cars while using a dead bug or some sort of a spot on my windsheild. :D
Or lead turn the car infront of me as I get onto the highway in anticipation of the shot that will soon come.
NY City driving is also always a good furball.

Bla bla bla bla, you are just lucky he was out of 20mm, and there is no way you would have been ablle to change your view this fast in RL :lol

Heh, yeah, really, Aces High ought to be mandatory in all drivers training classes. Unbeatable situational awareness, and I've often thought of Aces High when navigating and dodging on real roads.

Mt sister wont let my brother in law and me ride up front together when Im home due to excessive AH lingo and bs'ing. One day she asked me what "ack" was, i told her and she called him and yelled at him. Apparently she asked him what his problem was in the car one day and he said "Ive got some annoying ack coming from my 3 0'clock coalt. (He told her it meant some mechanical trouble :P) She shutup and was listening for the "noise"..he said "oh its gone now...huh". I dont tell her any AH lingo anymore.

I HO, in the winter when doing snow removal. when I'm changing factory sites I have to go on the road for a bit. Of coarse I'm driving a front end Loader with a 5 foot high and 18 foot wide plow, hehe. All the cars move? HO chickens.
If only that Deere would fly.

Yeah me and Duchess trade check 6's a lot, it's kinda funny the look on other peoples faces as they wonder what the hecks going on.
Some of our neighbor's mimic us a bit in fun, cuz I guess with the windows open they can hear "check 6, LA7, check 6", "Acks up", some of them know the lingo having never seen the game.
SA is good to have, in the game, in the car, on the bike, at the bar, wherever.......
