Runnin 512 of pc2700 right now.

If I increase the memory to 1 meg will it help any?

And what was that command to make windows 98 run with over 512?

wrag, what's your cpu specs and motherboard?  in the past i made 2 upgrades (way way way back) that had no effect because my processor could not push things any faster.  so i would up ignorantly upgrading the wrong thing.

hope your case is not similar to mine.

here's one way .
///////
Had to add these lines after running sysedit...

[VCache]
MinFileCache=30720
MaxFileCache=30720
ChunkSize=1024

[386Enh]
ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1

Seems to be working now.. Hope it stays stable.. Have 1024mb of ram running in dual channel on win98se.. hehe////////

Also if you use the off shore  service pack  for windows 98se it will allow you to go to 1 gig in ram.

System spec:

MB = Asus A7V8X-X

CPU AMD 2500+ Barton

Current memorey is Kingston
512
333 MHz
DDR
PC2700
DIMM
CL 2.5

Don't think the board will handle much higher although BIOS shows 400 MHz potential.

Have applied the unoffical W98se SP2 pack from majorgeeks.com.

Does that go along with the offshore?
