What's the most common model/variant frontline fighters used  by the LW in late war (one for West front and the other for east front)?

Just curious since i'm setting up a semi-historic gamepley for H2H.

Define 'late', because equipment changed a LOT during 1944... I can say for the 109s, starting with 109G-6, which almost completely disappeared by the end of the year.

I can only help you with 109s, but I think Crumpp will have data for FW 190s.

I compiled the list from http://www.ww2.dk - which would be VERY useful for your purpose, if you have your time, as it has every german unit`s equipment from March 1942-Dec1944 - but only sorted out 109s... IIRC about 200 D-9s were being around by dec 1944, somewhat less A-9s and the rest being A-8.

As for Bf 109types, I can give you a much more definiative answer :

Ie. ca 65% of the Bf 109 types being G-10, G-14/AS and K-4. Since AH only has the G-10, and the performance of the other two is VERY simialir (max speed 680-690-715kph, G14AS/G10/K), I recommend to use that one. The rest being G-14 with MW50, plus a few oddballs.

From : RL2III/1158

Note also it is for a/c capable of missions, NOT those sitting around waiting to be fixed for what ever reason they are U/S.
