Sterns time has come and gone.
He was great when he first came to the scene on WNBC and then the first few years at KRock.
His bits were fresh new and irreverent
Bits like "Guess whos the Jew" Hosted by Kurt Waldheim Jr
and "Lesbian Dial a Date" were great
The guests he had on were Great.
Anytime he had Sam Kinnison on it was just insane hillarious.
Grandpa Al Lewis (Grandpa from the original Munsters)
Or the Ku Klux Klansman he'd have on to make a fool out of himself

Stuttering John when he first came on the scene doing interviews with people like Joe Dmagio "You ever fart in a catchers face?"

Was all great and very funny for the time.

If you missed any of that stuff you really missed the best of Stern
It was fresh, it was new, it was great.

Now him and his routine is just plain old. I gave up listening to him years ago and only tuned into E once in a while.
He just aint that funny anymore

Used to listen to him when I wasnt in the mood for morning news shows.

Stoped when he decided the new FCC fines were Bush out to get him, he stopped being even marginaly funny and just lame.

Sat radio is prolly going to be the end of him.

Shock jocks eventually run out of shock and turn into old, used jocks.
