in game i have 2 squadmates now with the same problem
i believe it is the video cards, and they can't render the images or something.
the problem manifests itself the same way for both:
- on the clipboard, radar circles, spawn lines, and zone lines do not show.
- in the hangar convergence lines do not show.
- in a tank like the panzer the gunsight lines do not show.
there may be other manifestations that i don't know yet, but those are distinct
they are able to play the game, albeit with these bugs. JB91 (i have emailed you before about his rig) has a dell, with i think some kind of on board video. the new squadmate JB13 also has a dell, but i know no details about the system. JB13 lives in a very remote part of alaska, and getting a techie to check his rig over is not a possibility. he is also 65, and has physical limitations, so i am kind of in a hard spot here to get him going best i can.
wasn't this some "known" issue?
are there some settings i can have them change in either their video card, or in game that might fix this?
thanks

If they were ATI video cards I'd say its a driver issue. Some of them had problems similar to that with certain drivers. Dells (if they use the onboard video) are more than likely the Intel Extreme Graphics controllers. No idea what driver would work best with these, they arent really for gaming. I'd guess they will have problems with the onboard video eventually, no matter what driver they use. Skuzzy can give you a better idea of the limitations of them when he gets a chance to chime in.

try to get there dxdiag ... at least the 1st part so we can go over the driver/hardware config ... i know some video cards are driver tempermental in ah . one set works great while anouther give ya annomilies

yeah i know one of them is an intel onboard video, suspect the other....
yeah i know they are wonky in regards to working, i was just wondering of by changing a setting in AH or something it might work. or reducing hardware accel, or DX upgrade or what.

Hi, have a Dell Dimension 4300, changed the card to Nvidia GeForce FX5200, thx to Roscoroo's advice some months back & nary a problem, in fact, I tried different display cards from Nvidia & finally settled on the 61.77. :)
Hope this is of some help to u.
