Hello,
Im in Orlando Fl for this whole week on training for Windows 2000 Clustering. I was wondering if there are any AHers from orlando that would give me some tips on the town?
A: Food! Where the best place to eat?
B: Where the fence is lowest to sneak into Disney World! (j/k)
C: Interesting places around town?
D: Survival tips when encounting a gator.
Thanks

Don't mix D and A :)

this place is in Kissimmee, right up the road from Disney. It is worth the price of admission:
Warbird Museum (http://www.warbirdmuseum.com/)

Besides the national chains around here, I'd recommend the following: Orlando Ale House, Sam Sneads Tavern, Tijuana Flats (fast Mex), and Cheesecake Factory. If your budget can handle it then try Season's 52 or Del Fresco's (they're not cheap). There's a ton of more resteraunts and stores on International Blvd. If you're looking for more of a night life, then hit the Blue Martini or Church St/Orange Ave in downtown Orlando.
You also have the parks (Disney, Universal, Sea World, Wet n Wild, Islands of Adventure, Cypress Gardens, Silver Springs). Daytona Beach and Cocoa Beach are less then an hour away. If you're a NASCAR fan, then Daytona USA at the Daytona Intl Speedway would be a good place to visit.

if you can visit the white 1 museum also in Kissimmee near the warbirds museum on hoagland road. http://www.white1foundation.org the neat thing about this place is that it is a restoration in progress. an FW190 F8 is being fully and faithfully restored to flying condition and an FW190 A8 to static display.

Heh, you're about 2 mins from where I work.
If you are staying in the Hotel Orlando North, be sure to check out An Tobar, which is right there. Its a pretty good Irish Pub. A good place for breakfast is First Watch. Go N on I4, turn right onto 436 and its in the plaza with Friday's and Winghouse.

Nice! yes im at the Hotel Orlando North. Training for Cluster Server is at the American Building just north of the hotel. Sunday nite i went down to the irish pub and well.. i was surprised by the emptiness of the place.. Last nite we drove down IDrive, man! that is something else, also ended up getting lost down on Orange Blossom Trail near downtown.. ... Not a place to stop !!!! ..
Well about the links and places to go. Ill have to see, my buddy isnt that wild for ww2 planes. So i hope there are hot women around those places so he can be interested to go.

You just can get THAT close and not go here!

If you go out SWaturday night check out Dragon's Room in the 'Church Street' area. Also Sky Bar.
A good restaurant I've been to is Chop Chops (sp), they have a lake with a flying boat in it!
