Title: Hat view question
Post by: jetb123 on June 27, 2005, 07:31:34 PM
Okay ive just got my cyborg evo, but i noticed its hat view doesnt have as many views as a numpad. Which i was just using. So im trying to decied. What view is more important. Straight up. Or up back. Up back would show your 12 clock high like if someone is diving on you, But I know I would need up for scisor fighting. Is there anyway to get more views on this
hat or am I just gonna have to choose?

No EVO expert but my EVO has the 8way hat and I have all basic level views except for the front, which is Up/Front. I also mapped a button on the left base for the keypad#5 as a 'view modifier'. I use the hat and the hat & 5 when I want to look left/up for example. If I need to look straight up I just hit the mapped #5 button. You could also use the multiple stick sets available in stickmapping but it's more work.

i have the evo and have a mine set with 16 views...it is a pretty long setup but you need to set a button for stick set 2 and then setup your other views on set 2 but its not as easy as it sounds cause youll have to set all your other stuff on set 2 also and have the button settup to get back to set 1...the same button can be used that you use to get to set 2....get ahold of me online and i can try to help out:eek:

In short, use the numpad.  I have the same stick, and use the numpad, works great for me.

Jet use the AH joystick programming to set all your hat views. The Evo will allow you 8 unmodified views. Now if you program the "look up" to one of your Evo base (or stick) buttons...you'll have you basic set of 8 all modified by an upward viewpoint if you hold the "look up" botton down while panning around.

Get what I'm saying?
