too harsh.
Kansas is fine.
-
It's North of Oklahoma. Tha's about all you can say about it - good or bad.
-
Actually, I was looking at what you had in there, and it really did not read like you wanted to have a discussion. It did read like a flame towards the people from Kansas.
I was sitting here thinking how many ways this thread has to go wrong and no way for it to be right.
Kind of glad you took it out Yeager. It would have been ugly. Whether you meant it to be ugly or not, it was going to go that direction.

Well, fer cripes sakes; WHAT was the subject? What happened in Kansas that got Yeagers attention?
-
I was starting a "debate" about the BTK murderer and the lack of the death penalty in the state where the murderer resides, Kansas.
http:// http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/06/28/victims.son/index.html
Copy Skuzzy, I almost forget about all that stuff. Besides all good debates tend to degenerate into fistacuffs. I was just taking a shortcut :aok
Ok tried to clean it up.

IMO,
I cannot figure out any good reason why that individual should or needs to continue to breathe, period.

The lack of death penalty isn't a good reason ?

Disturbing.. predator. I agree with Yeager. Life's too kind a sentance.
I also found this lil missive disturbing...
He was also president of his Lutheran church council.
Predators... hiding amongst the sheep.

Seems to be a very unhappy trend. :(

You're right... it's every bit as nice as eastern Colorado. :)

I happen to live in Kansas. It is a fine state. Our views are not blocked by mountains , nor do we have oceans washing us out to sea. Our air is not polluted and our water is clean. Our land stands still, not shaking like the west coast. And last but not least, one sick person does not ruin the whole state. Thank God he has been caught and a lot of people's lives in Wichita can finally start healing.
A proud Kansas citizen, born here, then lived in New Mexico, Colorado, and now lived here over 39 years.:aok

Well as I live in Kansas and only about an hour from where all this happened I assure you that we want the same as all of you---Death!!! We all can hope he ends up in general population where i'm sure he will be dealt with fairly quickly. The funny thing is that just a couple weeks ago he was complaining about how he is being mis-treated in prison, from guards I believe. I don't know if he actually thought anyone would give a crap about him or if it was just for attention. This man wanted to be caught for the fame and i hope he ends up like Dahmer and beat to death.

Kansas is sooooo flat. My friend and I watched his dog run away from home.....for 2 weeks.
:D

Face it, there are bad and evil people everywhere. The good part is that the good out weighs the bad, at least most of the time.
On the other hand, too bad you can't send him south to Ok, or Tx. The death penalty is working well in both states. For that. I would welcome the man here.

OH OH I got 1...

besides the fact hub lives there they cannot drive. almost as bad as cincinnati drivers. Never been to Kansas. they have a good basketball team though. shouldn't have lost roy. as for the death penalty thing i don't really care. If you commit a crime then you should die. i don't like politics.

You obviously haven't been to Garden City. The methane levels are off the chart.

George Carlin once said that he would never live anyplace where the most prominant geographical feature was the horizon.

yes on an average I go to Garden City once a week. Yes, there are many feedlots around, but you do not smell them all the time either. I live approx. 90 miles from Garden City to the northwest.
:lol Some of you city slickers sure have a sensitive nose. Get within 30 miles of a cow chip you guys are gagging.:rofl
