I'm wondering... I supposedly have this handy dandy spyware removal tool installed by Micro$oft.
Where the hell is it?
-
How does it work?
Is it user started or automatic?
-
its configured either automatic or manual... i run mine auto... its GREAT! works as well and is easier to use than ad-aware.
Get it here direct from Microsoft - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=321cd7a2-6a57-4c57-a8bd-dbf62eda9671&displaylang=en&Hash=HCCL6D8 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=321cd7a2-6a57-4c57-a8bd-dbf62eda9671&displaylang=en&Hash=HCCL6D8)

I have it. I just don't know where it is.

I have seen security downloads that were titled "malicious software removal tool" but have never seen where they could be activated or used. Where the heck is it and how do you activate the darn thing?
-
That tool is automatic and is updated almost weekly; don't worry about it.
That "Other" proggie is in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\GIANTAntiSpywareMain.exe" at least in my comp.

I haven't seen it either. But I found the download page here (http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/default.mspx).
