ok this what i dont understand.
1.) HOW IN THE WORLD CAN 100~ PLANES TAKE OFF FROM ONE BASE???!?!?!?
2.)thats it:D
Now i think Fields should be limited on how many planes can take off from one base. Ex. 1 FH=7 fighters. Ok in this example we will use a small airfield. 3 FH=21 fighters total. 2 BH=10 bombers total.
Ok i think when ur in a tower there can be a number count on the little chalk board on how many planes r available at that time. When someone takes a fighter 1 fighter will be taken off from the clipboard and when that count goes to 0 then no more fighters can take off. If they come back alive then the count goes back up 1 fighter. If they crash, die, killed, ditched, exc. then u have to wait for the next shipment of planes come in (lets say every 20 minutes) for them to come back. Wheres the shipment come from??? well an airplane factory, and if its at 100% running then the airfields get ALL of there planes back. If its running at 50% then the airfield only get half the planes they normanly would.
This is a suggestion and i think AH will be more....well....exciting from my point of view if this was done.

Good idea, this would get some strat in the game.
I would add the distance to the factory to the supply time to an amount. So rear fields get supplied faster.
Oh... and think of missions too. Maybe you can order planes for a mission, so they dont count onto the field supply, from a mission pool of planes that get refreshed every 2 hours.
-
Any idea that limits the amount of planes that can take off from a field, with the exception of taking all fighter hangers out, will NEVER be implemented.
Tell me ... what happens when the "horde" shows up and all fighters have been used up ?
Wait 20 minutes ? yeah that would be great ... NOT.
What you would see is ...
Nobody brings bombs anymore ... just vulch the crap out of field and BINGO ... no opposition from that field for 20 minutes ... boy wouldn't that be fun to partake in. The first 10 pilots on station get all the vulches and the 20 behind them fly around in circles with their thumbs up there arses.
Why must people try to think of ideas on how NOT to fight and make it easier for a capture ... for the life of me I can't figure it out. Oh yeah ... now I remember ... to "Win the War". Sweet mother of Mary ... 25 perks per category and CH 200 trash talkin' braggin' rights ... how sweet it is ....... and the war then begins again, anew, in 5 minutes.
One object of this game is to "Win the War" ... oh joy of joys.
The other object is to FIGHT ... CONFLICT ... those that can handle the conflict are the victors, and to the victors goes the spoils. Why do most look for the easy way out ? I can tell ya but the Skuzzinator would then be forced to edit my post.
If you feel the need to take a field, then that goal should be reached after great conflict.
If your intention is "realism" ... then you have come to the wrong areana... you will have fun in TOD.
The MA is all about conflict(s) and those who rise above it are the winners.

What Slap said.
The 3 fighter hangers down and no planes is BS. If I were a base commander in RL I'd have my planes spread out all over the base. Under camo nets, under tents, in the woods, anywhere that enemy bombers cant see them. I'd like to see this with a limited number fo fighters. Once the hangers are down you get like 10 fighters to up from the camo nets. Of course you can attack the camo nets but they would be hard to see from high alt. and they are not located on the clipboard maps. The logic is that once the hangers are down planes can't be repaired so the ones under the nets are all you get, no replacements.
I would also like to see covert bases like CVs that are not visible to the enemy on the map. If you want to take them out you got to find them. Make them have limited plane sets like the CVs do. Make them use only short take off planes.
This would increase the number of fights and make capture a bit (but not to much more) difficult. But you win-the-war/easy-capture guys sure don't want that now do you.
-
Yet another excelent idea to stop people from flying planes and fighting.
Why don't you guys just ask HT to desable fighters in a field untill a map reset once the FHs are down. I mean, who is going to repare the FH when the field is under attack. Unrealistick. Oh yeah, and once you die in plane, no more flying till next tour. :aok

Well, if it is all about winning the war, don't you want to feel like you earned the win?
New idea, just thought of it. 1 fuel refinary by HQ. Dweeb it with some dive bombing buffs and no more fuel for the planes. Thats should make it easy to win. And dont make the tonage required too big cause then it will descurage people from diving two formasions into the refinary.

Actually 100 aircraft from a base is not all that unrealistic a
number. When I was in the USAF, I was based at Moody AFB.
It was a smallish base that only held one fighter wing, yet we
still had 72 aircraft based there.
