I usually don't much like remakes, but this might be worth watching.
King Kong (http://www.kingkongmovie.com/ef239524432ba87f1ca8f70eed4b1fa7/en_large.html).

Agreed. I been keeping an eye on this one myself
Rama KONG!

Naomi Watts is a cute cute chick!
I bet she would like to meet MY King Kong.
Oh and last time I checked dinosaurs and higher primates were separated by a few million years of evolution and a catastrophic extinction.

Damned money-grubbing Kiwis! . . .
-
Looks great. Casting..questionable.
-
Can the CGI get any more fake? Gotta pass on this one.
-
You wont get any pics, they are already in post production.
I cant find the article i was reading earlier today that was an interview with Jackson about making the movie. Apparently this is the movie that got him into making films, and its the one he's always wanted to do. He insisted it be set in the 30s like the original, and tried to stay as true to it as possible while adding modern special effects.
Jack Black is in this one too, interested in seeing how he does.
-
The dino vs kong scene looked cool but the ship looked really bad.
-
I wonder when will Hollywood make remakes of Metropolis, "Die Frau Im de Moon" (sp) and...Birth of a Nation.

Set in the 30's is the only way the climax of the movie really works. The Helocopters just didnt come close to cutting it in the last remake.
Kinda hope they use some of the original musical score somewhat also. Dont see how you can top the music that was used.
I hear before she died they wanted to get Fay Wray in the movie to say the "twas beauty killed the beast" Line
Woulda really been fitting
-
When are they gonna remake "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington"
-
You can't remake Metropolis. Even for today's standards, the graphics are amazing. How they pulled it off and all.
It's just something that you shouldn't do.
Btw, holy crap on that trailer. Amazing.

I know in the interview Jackson commented on the fact that the original movie never showed how they got Kong onto the ship after tranquilizing him. He said he would do the same thing, saying it was "one of the most audacious cuts in movie history", and that it really isnt relevant HOW they get him on the ship. He really wants this movie to be true to the original, just updated for a modern audience. He even said he doesnt believe the original can really be improved upon, but that its always been his dream to try. I for one cant wait to see what he's got. :)
