Just sent off a check for $314.14 to Toyota Financial Services, the payoff amount left on the loan. The maturity date was 2/06/06 so I did get it paid off a bit early which is nice.
Finally I own my vehicle again, after eight years (Nissan pickup in '98 then starting on 2/06/01 the Toyota) of making autopayments I no longer have to.
2001 Toyota Tundra SR5 Extended Cab, 4WD, TRD, 50,400 miles and in good condition and most importantly, mine.:D

Congrats buddy.. no better feeling in the world than knowing what's yours is yours.

Wtg Karnak! :)
Never borrowed money for a car myself.

Karnak, wtg. Got one vehicle pd for myself, that our son drives. A great feeling, and it's like having "found" money, or getting a raise.

Now is when the major breakdowns will start to happen. You didn't tell the truck is was paid off did you???
Congrats :aok

Thanks all. It does feel good.
I am going to use the money to pay down my one remaining credit card debt. After I was laid off I ended up having to put quite a bit on credit to stay afloat, which I did manage to do thankfully.
Maverick,
Nah, I'm not worried. It is still under warranty. When that expires is when it'll choose to break.:p It hasn't had even minor breakdowns yet.

wtg karnak. Good feeling to be free and clear.
The last vehicle I financed was before I was married. I really have no desire to buy a new car. Thinking of all that depreciation and finance charges gives me a stomach ache.

Congrats! Doesn't it feel good to finally have that title in your hands, with no lien holder on it? :)
