sex offender required to register without really trying????

a question is brought up in about the middle of the article that creates an interesting aside.

so much for "beyond a reasonable doubt"

guess now every fire fighter, or 1st responder,or cop, or etc, that grabs a child to pull them out of a burning car or whatever, is guilty and must be registered.
since that law is weird like that. what would you do? risk the label or well you know.
IMO dumbest laws are passed by dumber politicians.
those kinds of politicians need a big brand on their forehead saying "1 r 5tup1d".

means nothing. they'll still get convicted.
nothing like watching/witnessing a kangaroo court in session.
don't get me started. I'm still beyond mad about a couple of trials I've seen.

This is just giving more power to kids...adults are getting to where we have to fear children because of what they might say we did.
This man will never be able to have a normal life ever again..and for what...NOTHING!

Hopefully the citizens in that area will take note of how stupid this is and react appropriately and get rid of these idiots when the time comes.

By idiots, I hope you mean the ones who prowl the streets looking for children to use the line "come here little girl" on and the constantly growing number of child sex offenders.
I think it is sort of lame to base your opinions on the writing of a staff reporter, looking for headlines and the guy`s attorney.
You expect a defense attorney to come to court and say " Yea, he was prowlig the streets looking for young girls, but......."?
If you had to swerve to miss a child in your car do you think you would be in any condition where the first thing that would come to your mind to do would be to jump out of your auto and say "come here little girl", then grab her by the arm to "lecture" her? Give me a break.
The other scenarios spoke of above are covered by the law and are not remotely similar to incidents such as these.
One side of the story from a defense attorney and a reporter do not the truth make.

Yes this is what you get when you write laws that take power away from judges by making mandatory sentencing requirments

No it was the statute that stigmatizes him and the dumb jurry that found him guilty.....and the dumb DA that actually indicted him....and the dumb judge that didn't throw the case out.....and the dumb police that arrested him......and the idiot girl that was walking in the middle of the street.\
Unless they are messing with my kids I DO NOT associate with children I do not know.

I love how not only do the courts label him as a sex offender, but then they wash their hands of the matter by saying that its not their fault. :rolleyes:

Well then I must have several accounts of child sex offenses against me I've grabbed plenty of kids doing stupid things at amusement parks/streets/when babysitting, stay away from me!

What was this tard doing, grabbing/restraining a 14-year-old girl that he doesn't even know to lecture her. That said, he should have been sentanced to a course in how to remove your head from your ass, not registered as a sex offender. The DA should be smacked upside his head.

No where does anyone say that they even suspected him of doing that. They were following a guidline of the law.

You expect a staff reporter and a defense attorney to admit to that?

Or the perv could try clicking his ruby red slippers together and say "there`s no place like home. No there`s no place like home" .
If he had used the line "come her little girl" and grabbed one of my daughters and she had been lucky enough to get away from him , he wouldn`t have had to worry about a judge and jury.
