Hmmmmm ... so we are modeling by taste now .... hmmmmm ... let me think about this.

lol
Man, I've started some pretty retarded threads in my day... But the ones that come from this guy redefine retarded.

Go try to fly this so called big bus (for example, D-11)...
(in lo alt fites)
Try applying "tricks"
When the situation gets ugly, extend ubermagnificent flaps...
Viola!!! now you can out turn ANY plane except for A6Ms and SPITFIRES and this plane wont tip stall like 109s 190s at slow speeds (back then i thought i was flying a P-38 in P-47 lol)
sounds gamey but works.
-
Is this Straiga, the F-14 pilot to whom the Navy has no record of awarding aviator's wings?
Or is this a new one?

You can do the same thing in a Hellcat and to some extent in Corsairs and Mustangs. It's not gamey, it's what the planes can do. Course in real life I doubt many pilots would have liked to get that low and slow in the first place as self-preservation would have been high on their list.

Please, many fighters out-turn the P-47D-11 in a stall fight. Stop making a big to-do about nothing.
My regards,
Widewing

All of the P-38s can fly circles around a P-47D-11 in that situation you describe.
The sky is not falling 1K3.

P38 can't out turn a P47 with powerups and a pilot with a wizard hat!

My PJ with the +1 to Dexterity and Turnarity mods might have a chance. It also mods my Charisma +2 when I wield it, but that doesn't effect the game much.

Aren't you afraid of prismatic sprays??? You'll have to roll a 20 to avoid:eek: Or what if the pilot is wearing boots of evasion?
-
As soon as we get the new cockpits..It will be tweaked!..:)
-
I wished my P47 had the "shoes of escape":lol
Hey IK3, check out the wings of the P47, they semi elliptical ... sounds familliar with a spitfire wing?
-
what the hell are u worried about 1k3 .. your still stratching for kills in h2h land .
As far as the d-11 is concerned I dont think its compleatly recoved from the ah2 switch .. its still too soft as in pilot wounds go and it doesnt seam to have regained the nice "edge" it had befor (i still fly it alot)

The d11 feels pretty good to me when I fly it. The only big difference I've noticed is that those 8 50s don't hit so hard as they used to. This plane can merge the hell out of about anything, but when 8 50s don't get the job done fast enough E burn puts you on the defensive too often. Other then that E burn and flaps still feel pretty good in the old jug.
I havn't really compared the performance of this and the old FM, as I was far more focused on learning the new 38 model after the switch and didn't pay attention until well after I had forgotten exactly how the d11 handled. If any of you have noticed specifics on what's not up to par I'd love to hear it.

LMAO that any thread discussing FM of any plane always falls into "my p38 is best at this and that"
ROFLMAO

My PJ just uses its Peter North spray method to end the debate all together.

hehehe ; )
it's like godwin's law only with p38's instead of hitler : D
-
Does this guy actually fly in the MA, or just try to start FM accuracy fights and perk arguments?
-
*shrug* maybe a little more E-bleed when flaps are constantly put on?
