Title: How can I skin the “Chute” guy?

If I want to skin the chute guy (or a train or anything else) where do I get the originals, and how can I use them on or offline?

Also, is 256 by 256 the maximum resolution for the plane pilots (DUDE1 & DUDE2)?

Lastly question: When I download skins from AHII, the main skins come in 512 x 512.  I set my game video “Maximum Texture Size” to 1024, yet even new skins are saved to the skins folder as 512.  What am I not doing?

To get 1024x1024 skins, you have to download the High resolution pack on the HTC downloads page.  Its something like 23 megs.

If I download that pak, do I see all of the planes in Hi-res? Does anyone see my plane in Hi-res?

The high res pack allows you to see the game in high resolution.  It works just like it did in AH1 when you had your settings at 1024x1024 textures.  So yes, you will see all of the planes at 1024x1024 textures.

Others will see the game at the resolution and texture settings they have set.

Look for the "dudes" in the skin folder, eskimo.

 dude.bmp... Gdude.bmp... Jdude.bmp.. etc etc..

I have edited the “dude” in the planes skin folders.  This dude is the pilot in the plane, but NOT the guy who jumps out when you bail.  The “Chute Guy” skin must also have pants and a 45 on his skin map.  

Does anyone have a clue?

Can ya make him jump out with Bermuda shorts, cool shades and a hawaiian shirt? Not realistic, but would be lots of fun?

Ouch eskimo, you can't skin them.

 Currently, everytime a guy bails out the pilot will always use the default skin, not the 'dude' skin.

You can skin EVERYTHING in AH.

It's all in the TE, but what you skin other than planes can only be seen when you build a map.

The Dude2.bmp has the pants in it, I believe it is like this:
