Title: HTC: Any Skinning Rules for P47s?

Currently we have the P-47D-11, P-47D-25 Bubble Top, and P-47D-30 (really a –40).  I'm guessing the update will include these three plus the P-47N.  Using the P-47D-11 for a skinning example, will HT accept all "Razorbacks" skins or only dash 11 skins?  Also, the current P-47D-25 model does not have the fin fillet – which is correct.  Will HT accept any dash 30 skins that have a fillet for the P-47D-25 model?

On a side note, can anyone explain how a dash 40 differed visually from the dash 30?

Can someone explain the confusion with the 30 and 40 we have and can we please get rid of it with the upcoming patch.. ;)

Tex it was a mislabeling in the older stuff. We always had a 40 but it was labeled a 30.

At least that is what I was told and nobody has said any different.

I called dibs in the thread united posted, I think it's a mighty fine lookin bird. (Also I'm a Tarheel)
It was a -30, so I was thinking I should skin it as the -25.

With that tail fillet, you might want to consider skinning it as a -D40.   That would match the profile better...

Or ask Skuzzy or Pyro which it should be done as.   Will definitely be colorful to see in the air!

It looks like you can do any "Razorback" skin for the P-47D-11 model.  Greebo's skin is a D-6 from the 78th FG.

major difference between d30 and d40 are the d40 had provision for 10 zero lenth rocket launchers...also the k14 gunsight was fitted( usless info for this game)....externally the dorsal fin was factory fitted...other wise its the same plane....(in the heat of battle who cares)
